Camille Joseph "Joe" Rosbert (January 19, 1917 – January 7, 2007) was a prominent World War II fighter pilotand flying ace who served with the legendary American Volunteer Group (AVG) famously known as the "Flying Tigers." Donald "Rode" Rodewald (1918–2002) was a highly notable World War II fighter pilot, military officer, and aviation pioneer. Rodewald was a Flying Tigers. Colonel John Simon Loisel (May 21, 1920 – January 20, 2010) was a highly decorated American flying ace who achieved "double ace" status by shooting down 11 enemy aircraft during World War II. Born in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, he joined the United States Army Air Forces in 1941. By the age of 25, he had spent more than three consecutive years in the Pacific Theater—accumulating over 875 hours in combat, which was longer than any other American pilot during the war.
