WWII Doolittle Raiders Jimmy Doolittle, Hank Potter & Richard Cole Signed Book Plate This book plate does not come with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA). The signatures are original. The approximate size is 5.5 x 8.5 inches. Good overall condition. General James Harold "Jimmy" Doolittle (December 14, 1896 – September 27, 1993) was an American military general and aviation pioneer who received the Medal of Honor for his raid on Japan during WWII, known as the Doolittle Raid in his honor. Colonel Henry A. "Hank" Potter was a prominent figure in World War II aviation, best known for his role as the navigator of the lead aircraft during the historic Doolittle Raid. Lieutenant Colonel Richard "Dick" Eugene Cole (September 7, 1915 – April 9, 2019) was a pioneering United States Air Force officer and a legendary figure of World War II. He is best known as the co-pilot to Lieutenant Colonel Jimmy Doolittle in the historic Doolittle Raid of 1942.
