WWII Aces Tom Hayes, Jim Goodson & Herschel Greene Signed Photos. These photos do not come with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA). These signed photo are copies of the actual period photo. The signatures are original. The approximate size is 8 x 10 inches. Good overall condition. Brigadier General Thomas "Tommy" L. Hayes Jr. (1917–2008) was a highly decorated US Army Air Forces flying ace. He is credited with 10.5 total victories (8.5 in Europe and 2 in the Pacific). Major James Alexander "Goody" Goodson (March 21, 1921 – May 1, 2014) was a highly decorated American fighter ace of World War II, celebrated for his exceptional aerial skill and daring ground-strafing tactics. Herschel Harper "Herky" Green (July 3, 1920 – August 16, 2006) was a highly decorated World War II flying ace who served as the leading fighter ace of the Fifteenth Air Force. Flying in the Mediterranean Theater of Operations, Green achieved a total of 18 official aerial victories, making him a "Triple Ace, " and destroyed an additional 10 enemy aircraft on the ground.
