WWII Aces Willie Y Anderson, Dixie Sloan / Frank Hurlbut & George Bostwick Signed Photos. These photos do not come with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA). These signed photo are copies of the actual period photo. The signatures are original. The approximate size is 8 x 10 inches. Good overall condition. Captain William Yngve "Willie Y" Anderson was a Swedish-born American fighter pilot during World War II who achieved "Flying Ace" status. Lieutenant Colonel William J. "Dixie" Sloan (1921–1999) was a United States Army Air Forces fighter pilot and "double ace" during World War II. He achieved major recognition for his combat skills in the Mediterranean and North African Theaters of Operations. Frank D. Hurlbut (1922–2017) was a distinguished American World War II fighter pilot and flying ace who served in the U.S. Army Air Forces. Colonel George Eugene Bostwick (October 19, 1919 – February 6, 1990) was a highly decorated United States Army Air Forces fighter pilot and "flying ace" during World War II. Serving with the legendary 56th Fighter Group (part of the 8th Air Force’s famed "Zemke’s Wolfpack"), Bostwick was primarily known for flying the P-47 Thunderbolt fighter plane.
