WWII Knights Cross Recipients Rudolf Braun, & Werner Ranck Signed Auto Photos. Oscar Boesch did not receive the Knights Cross. These photos do not come with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA). These signed photo are copies of the actual period photo. The signature is original. The approximate size is 8 x 10 inches. Good overall condition. Oscar Boesch (May 18, 1924 – June 4, 2012) was a notable Austrian-born World War II fighter ace for the German Luftwaffe who later achieved fame in Canada as a premier aerobatic glider pilot. He achieved 18 aerial victories, for which he was awarded the Iron Cross First and Second Class. Hauptmann Rudolf Braun (August 30, 1913 – April 4, 1990) was a highly decorated bomber and assault pilot in the German Luftwaffe during World War II. He is best known for surviving one of the worst training disasters in aviation history and later being awarded the Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross. Werner Karl Otto Leopold Ranck (October 25, 1904 – December 7, 1989) was a high-ranking military officer who served as a general in the German Wehrmacht during World War II.
