Description
Original Artist Lucian Cave Watercolor French Fighter Morane-Saulnier M.S.225. The painting depicts a Morane-Saulnier M.S.225, a French fighter aircraft from the 1930s. Signed in pencil on bottom right. Approximate Size is 10 x 9 inches. Overall good condition for its age with the edges a little rough. These will be covered up when framed. The overall piece is still in good condition. Information found on the internet regarding Lucian Cave. Lucien H. Cave was a French artist specialising in drawings and paintings of aeroplanes / airplanes. Although little is known about the artist personally, Lucien Cave was a prolific commercial artist who concentrated on aviation subjects. His work features on numerous posters from the early 20th century and on the Air Album Book series that was used for plane identification during WWII.
