Description
US Air Force Pilot & General Curtis LeMay Signed Photo. Curtis Emerson LeMay (November 15, 1906-October 1, 1990) who became a US Air Force General and implemented a controversial bombing campaign against Japan in the late stages of World War II. He later became Chief of Staff of the U.S Air Force who was a key American military commander during the Cold War. He served as Chief of Staff of the United States Air Force, from 1961 to 1965. Curtis LeMay became a four-star general in October 1951 while commanding the Strategic Air Command (SAC). He was promoted to this rank at age 44, making him the youngest four-star general in the U.S. since Ulysses S. Grant. Approximate Size is 11 x 14 inches. Very good condition for its age.
