Description
Unscheduled Arrival Signed Print RCAF Bob Bowden, Jack Meadows, Marie Wright & Artist Robert Bailey. Numbered 54/400. It was the night of August 25, 1944. 627 Squadron Mosquito pilot Bob Boyden and his navigator Ralph Fenwick had just marked the marshalling yards for an incoming Lancaster raid at Darmstadt, Germany. Bob was down on the deck with throttles wide open, heading home, when he chanced upon a railway station at Kaiserslautern. The Germans didn’t have time to react, and still had their lights turned on. The intruder had gone as quickly as it had appeared. Approximate size is 22.75 x 33 inches. This item is not perfect. There are a bunch of imperfections along the edges most likely due to poor storage. The picture itself and signatures appear to look good. This piece comes with The Signees information card. This item will be shipped rolled.
