Description
USNA Naval Academy Annapolis Named Midshipman Promotion Document. Thomas Charles Hurst III was a captain in the U.S. Navy. Hurst was a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, Class of 1943, serving until 1970, when he retired to assume the presidency of Norfolk, Baltimore & Carolina Lines, a local shipping company. Decorated for valor with the Bronze Star for submarine action in the Pacific during World War II, Capt. Hurst was also a veteran of Korea and Vietnam, and was qualified in underwater demolition and submarine rescue/salvage operations. Approximate size of frame is 15.75 x 10 inches. This is a nice framed document.
