Description
US M1872 Cavalry Officers sword. Oak leaf decorated pommel, three-branch knuckle-bow/guard with eagle/stars. Shows wear as does the leather covered grip. 32 1/4 inch curved nickeled blade with the name of a New York distributor. Several chips to the plating. Two brass rings/bands. Missing brass drag. Several scattered rust patches on the nickeled scabbard. Center is bent.
