Description
Stellar WWII – Korean War 11th Airborne / 187th RCT Ike jacket to a Major who served in numerous WWII Pacific and Korean War campaigns, and made two combat jumps. The uniform is NOT named or identified, but with some digging through period 187th unit histories, I wouldn’t think it impossible to identify this officer.The uniform features pinback major rank, clutch back 187th Infantry DUI’s, patches on both sleeves, US and Infantry brass, a sewn on theater made ribbon rack (note the two invasion arrowheads), clutch back jump wings with two combat jump stars on an unsewn oval (has some glue or tape residue on it), a sterling second award CIB, unit citations, etc. The jacket is in very good condition.
