Description
WWII Army 31st Infantry Division Purple Heart Group. Named to PFC Lester Albert Yarter, 116th Field Artillery, 31st Infantry Division. For wounds received as a result of enemy action at Mindanao, Philippine Islands on 20 May 1945. The group includes a cased Purple Heart, Ribbon and Lapel Pin, 31st Infantry Patch, Awards of the Purple Heart Citation, Going Back To Civilian Life Booklet and Army Navy Marine Corps Insignia Booklet. Everything is in good condition for their ages except the paper has a tear and shows sign of wear from handling and use.
