Original WWII issue slot brooch Purple Heart medal, Distinguished Flying Cross, and Air Medal, all posthumously government issued and hand engraved to Technical Sergeant William F. Rae, Assigned to 333rd Bomb Squadron, 94th Bomb Group, 8th Army Air Force, USAAF. Miller crew. 25 x combat missions. Failed to Return (FTR) Duren 20-Oct-43 in B-17 #42-30303 ‘Raider’ with Lolein crew; mechanical trouble caused plane to crash into North Sea. Killed in Action (KIA). MACR 903. Comes in a frame under glass containing the three medals pinned to the backing (some glue residue on each medal on the backs), a photo of him, AAF pins, and a data plate with info on him. The back is largely detached and the contents could be removed. Scale shown for reference. Comes with some copied research.
