Description
WWII 1945 Major General Chaplain Arnold Signed Letter. This letter was in response to the recipient requesting a patch. Nice readable condition. Information found on the internet. Major General Chaplain William Richard Arnold was the 5th Chief of Chaplains of the United States Army and the first Catholic priest to hold this position. He was also the first chaplain in the Army to achieve the rank of Major General. Arnold led the Army Chaplaincy during World War II and was instrumental in transforming the Army Chaplain Corps.
