WWII 1945 Major General Charles L. Bolte Signed Letter, Envelope & Patch 34th Infantry Division. This signed letter includes a 34th Infantry Division Patch and a signed censored Bolte envelope given to the recipient of the letter. Overall very good condition for its age. Information found on the internet. Charles Lawrence Bolte (8 May 1895-11 February 1989) was a senior U.S. Army officer who fought in both WWI and WWII. In World War II he distinguished himself as commander of the 34th Infantry Division during the Italian Campaign, for which he was twice awarded the Army Distinguished Service Medal. Later promoted to General rank.
