Description
USN Navy Submarine USS Cod (SS-224) Named Certificate. Colorful design. Named to Lieutenant T.C. (Thomas Charles) Hurst III on cardboard. In the certificate are the missions Hurst participated. From an internet search, Hurst III earned the Bronze Star with Combat V, American Campaign, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign, WWII Victory, National Defense Service medals. He retired as a Captain. Approximate size is 12 x 14.75 inches. The condition shows signs of wear with foxing throughout, a tear, rounded corners and a corner piece missing.
