Description
Rare Booklet. The Story of the 82d Airborne Division Belgium. The Story of the 82d Airborne Division in the battle of the Belgium Bulge in the Siegfried Line and of the Roer River. This booklet is an after-action report detailing this divisions actions during the Battle of the Bulge from December 1944 to February 1945. The report consists of typewritten pages including the official report of the division commander, Major General James M. Gavin, as well as a chronology of events. This booklets includes 9 battle maps that accompany the historical narrative. Contents include: Preface, Division Commander’s Report, Chronology, Distribution and Charts. Approximate size of the decorative covers are 16 x 10 inches. These are lightly aged. Interior pages are age toned, but clean with no marks or writings. Maps are in very good condition with no marks or writings, appear to have little wear. Nice readable condition.
