Description
WWII German Knights Cross Recipients Erich Hartmann & Adolf Galland Signed Book Plate. These book plates do not come with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA). The signatures are original. The approximate size is 5.5 x 8.5 inches. Good overall condition. Erich Alfred Hartmann (19 April 1922 – 20 September 1993), nicknamed "Bubi" ("The Kid") by his German peers and "The Black Devil" by his Soviet adversaries, was a German Luftwaffe fighter pilot during World War II. He is widely recognized as the most successful fighter ace in the history of aerial warfare. Adolf Galland (March 19, 1912 – February 9, 1996) was one of Germany’s most prominent military aviators, a legendary fighter ace, and the commander of the Luftwaffe’s fighter forces during World War II. Highly respected by both his allies and his adversaries, Galland flew 705 combat missions, survived being shot down four times, and was officially credited with 104 aerial victories—all achieved against the Western Allies.
