Description
WWII German Knights Cross Recipient Wolfgang Spate Signed Photo & Bookplate. These items do not come with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA). The signed photo is a copy of the actual period photo. The signature is original. The approximate size is 8 x 10 inches and the book plate is 5.5 x 8.5 inches. Good overall condition. Wolfgang Späte (September 8, 1911 – April 30, 1997) was a German Luftwaffe fighter ace and pioneering test pilot during World War II. Renowned for his extreme adaptability across different eras of flight, he was one of a rare fraternity of pilots to claim aerial victories in piston-powered aircraft, rocket fighters, and jet aircraft.
