Description
New York Yankees Manager Casey Stengel Lot. You will receive a Casey At The Bat Book, 1960 Topps Card, Upper Deck Jersey Card, Topps Bat Card, and a Cooperstown Induction Day Pin. These items do not come with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA). The consignor was a long time collector of signed / autographed sports, political and entertainment items. Overall good condition for their ages. Charles Dillon "Casey" Stengel was a Major League Baseball outfielder and Hall of Fame manager. He is best remembered for guiding the New York Yankees to 10 American League pennants and 7 World Series championships between 1949 and 1960. He later became the beloved, eccentric first manager of the expansion New York Mets. Nicknamed "The Ol’ Perfessor, " Stengel spent over half a century in professional baseball and was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1966.
