1996 Buffalo Bob Signed Letter & 1963 Garry Moore Typed Signed Letter. We believe this 1963 Garry Moore letter is not a live ink piece (fasimile). The value is in the official letterhead which came directly from The Garry Moore Show. These items do not come with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA). The consignor was a long time collector of signed / autographed sports, political and entertainment items. Approximate size of Buffalo Bob letter is 8.5 x 11 inches and the Garry Moore letter is 7.25 x 10.5 inches. Good condition for their ages. Buffalo Bob Smith, born Robert Emil Schmidt (1917–1998), was an American radio and television personality best known as the creator, host, and heart of the groundbreaking children’s program The Howdy Doody Show. Emerging during television’s golden era, his friendly, high-energy ringmaster persona shaped childhood for an entire generation of baby boomers throughout the late 1940s and 1950s. His enthusiastic opening line, "Say, kids… what time is it?" would prompt a roaring, historic response from his live studio audience: "It’s Howdy Doody time!". Garry Moore (January 31, 1915 – November 28, 1993) was an American entertainer, comedian, game show host, and humorist best known for his work in television. He began a long career with the CBS network starting in radio in 1937. From 1949 through the mid-1970s, Moore was a television host on several variety and game shows.
