Feldwebel Hermann Eckardt (October 4, 1920-September 16, 2010) earned the Deutsches Kreuz in Gold on September 12, 1944 with 1. Kompanie/ Panzer-Abteilung 8 and the Knight’s Cross on March 28, 1945 as Feldwebel und Zugführer of 1. Kompanie/ Panzerjäger-Abteilung 8 of the 20. Panzer-Grenadier-Division. The approximate size is 8 x 10 inches. This signed photo is a copy of an actual period photo. The signature is original. Good overall condition.
