Rudolf Braun (30 August 1913-4 April 1990) was a highly decorated Captain in the Luftwaffe during WWII, and a recipient of the Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross. On June 14, 1941 Braun was awarded the Knight’s Cross after flying 186 ground attack sorties with the Ju 87. Braun was a highly decorated German Air Force Dive Bomber and Ground/Anti Tank Bomber Commander during WWII. Braun took part in the air combat action during: Invasion of Poland, Battle of France, Battle of Britain, Balkans Campaign, Battle of Crete, North African Campaign and the Kurland Pocket. Because of his personal bravery, he was awarded the German Cross in Gold. And because of his personal extreme bravery and successful military leadership in combat, he was awarded the Knights Cross of the Iron Cross. The approximate size is 8 x 10 inches.
