WWII Era USN Navy WAVES Collar Insignia Pin. Marked STERLING on the reverse. Approximate size is 1.25 x 1 inch. WAVES: Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service. WAVES were the US Naval Reserve Women’s branch established on July 21, 1942. Tarnished on both sides from age and handling.
