Lot 289:
Description
Disney Donald Duck and Nephews Matted Print. Animator Cartoon Illustrator Carl Barks cut signature adhered to the frame. This piece is called “Walt Disney’s Donald Duck Digest #5“ and is how it came from the consignor; who mentioned they bought several pieces of Barks. A certificate of authenticity does not accompany this piece. The piece measures approximately 8 x 10 inches (border). Very good overall condition. We do not know what is on the reverse of the image since this piece is matted. Carl Barks (March 27, 1901 – August 25, 2000) was an American cartoonist, author, and painter. He is best known for his work in Disney comic books, as the writer and artist of the first Donald Duck stories and as the creator of Scrooge McDuck. NOTE: There is a slight bend on the matte. The warped look is the protective plastic cover over the picture.
Condition: See description for notes on condition. Please note that all items are sold as is without returns, so please ask questions in advance of bidding.
