Description
Original WWII jacket named to Major Donald G. Sturges, the Director of the Operations Division and Chief of the Uranium Production Division at Madison Square from April 1943 to August 1945. He was personally decorated with the Legion of Merit by Major General Leslie Groves for "Aiding in the success development of the atomic bomb." The jacket features bullion Manhattan Project patch and MUC, an A-Bomb Manhattan Project pin, and other insignia as shown. Some staining on one sleeve. Small hole inside the lining.
