Description
Josef Huber (18 July 1915 – 24 May 2008) was a highly decorated Oberfeldwebel in the Luftwaffe during WWII. He was also a recipient of the Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. During his career he flew 721 missions. Huber flew a total of 721 sorties with the Ju 87 on the central and southern portions of the Eastern front. He was credited with the destruction of 46 tanks, 2 armoured trains and 2 important bridges. The approximate size is 8 x 10 inches. This signed photo is a copy of an actual period photo.
