Description
Wolfgang Spate (8 September 1911-30 April 1997) was a German Luftwaffe fighter pilot during WWII. He was a recipient of the Knights Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves. Spate is credited with 99 air victories. He was also the military officer in charge of the development of the Me-163 Komet, the worlds first rocket fighter. This signed photo is a copy of an actual period photo. The signature is original. The approximate size is 8 x 10 inches. This photo is in nice condition.
