George E. Bostwick (October 19, 1919-February 6, 1990) served with the 63rd FS of the famous 56th FG, US 8th Air Force. Bostwick was rapidly promoted from 1st Lt thru Major during his tour with the 56th. His tally of 8 confirmed kills included an Me 262 jet while flying his P47M Ugly Duckling. He became a career officer after the war retiring as a full colonel in the USAF in the 1960s. In WWII he was credited with destroying 8 enemy aircraft in aerial combat plus 2 damaged and 6 destroyed on the ground. Frederick Joseph Christensen Jr. (October 17, 1921-April 4, 2006) was an American fighter pilot and flying ace who flew with the Army Air Forces during WWII. A member of the 56th Fighter Group in England, Christensen scored 21.5 aerial victories. He later served 24 years as a command officer with both the Air National Guard and the Air Force Reserve, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. The approximate size is 8 x 10 inches. These signed photos are copies of actual period photos. The signatures are original. Good overall condition.
