Description
Lot of 6 WWII era Philippine banknotes. You will receive (3) 1944 One Peso (66 Series) VICTORY notes, (1) 1941 One Peso, and (2) 1944 Two Pesos (66 Series) VICTORY notes. The One Peso has a portrait of A. Mabini (Prime Minister) and the Two Pesos has a portrait of Jose Rizal (national hero). The 1941 Philippines Treasury Certificate 1 peso was used as an emergency issue note distributed to American naval aviators in the Philippines in case their plane was downed by the Japanese enemies. These banknotes are in circulated condition.
