Description
Original 1935 award from the Costa Rican Government to US Navy Rear Admiral Richard E. Byrd, famed explorer of the Arctic and Antarctic. In 1935, Byrd stopped at Costa Rica for a week long vacation on his way back from the South Pole in the Antarctic. The document is nicely colored, and framed under glass. Good condition. See last photo for size reference.
