Description
WWII USAAF 467th Witchcraft Short Snorter Certificate. Not a short snorter in the traditional sense. Produced at Rackheath to celebrate the achievement of 200 combat missions. The B-24 Liberator nicknamed Witchcraft (serial number 42-52534, Q2-M) was flown by the 790th Bomb Squadron, 467th Bomb Group, and is famous for completing the most missions of any Second Air Division aircraft – 130. Not all its activities were military however, on one occasion it was flown up to an altitude of 18,000 feet in order to freeze ice cream made out of powdered milk! Very nice condition.
