WWI RARE Eyes for the Navy Certificate Roosevelt FDR Document. Eyes for the Navy Certificate signed by Franklin D. Roosevelt (Facsimile). Franklin D. Roosevelt, then Secretary of the Navy, initiated the Eyes for the Navy program to which American citizens loaned their glasses, binoculars, and telescopes. This certificate issued to W. Davidson in recognition of their effort to help in the Eyes for the Navy program during the Great War. At the top of the certificate is a copy of the image from the Eyes for the Navy broadside. These certificates are rarely seen on the open market. Very nice condition for its age.
