Navy Admiral Chester W. Nimitz 1951 Signed on Letter. 1951 Letter written to Admiral Nimitz who signed this letter in the bottom left corner. Chester William Nimitz (February 24, 1885 – February 20, 1966) was a Fleet Admiral in the United States Navy. He was Commander in Chief of the US Pacific Fleet and Commander in Chief of the Pacific Ocean Areas commanding Allied air, land, and sea forces during WWII. Approximate size is 7 x 5.5 inches. Nice signature.
