Description
WWI WIA Named Engraved & Numbered US Army Purple Heart Group. Named to Charles C. Bowman. Numbered 65601. 1939 Contract: Medal Arts. From the information that came with this medal, Bowman was born about 1894. He served during WWI (1917-1919). His decorations include the Order of St. Sava (Serbian). Bowman was wounded in action on September 29, 1918 in the Meuse Argonne sector. Nice condition for its age.
