Description
Civil War Named Photos & Sons of Civil War Veteran Medal. You will receive (2) named photos. One photo is an 1899 Cabinet Card photo named to Roy J. Wells. In this photo, he is wearing the medal you will also receive. The medal is a 1881 Gratia Dei Servatus Filii Veteranorum Sons Of Civil War Veterans Medal with an 1888 patent on the reverse. The medal itself is in good shape, but the ribbon shows signs of fraying and is halfway detached from the brooch. The other photo (1908) is named to Asa H. Wells. Wells was attached to the 24th New York Cavalry. The photos are in very good condition. This group also comes with copied papers regarding Asa Wells.
