Description
Original 1936 Fort Totten, NY 62nd Coast Artillery (AA) framed under glass unit photo measuring 11 x 25 inches in size. The nice part about this is the naming of each Officer on the bottom. Quick research using only the USMA Register revealed that at least four of these men became General Officers (Bradshaw (Fifth Army WWII), Fergusson, Persons (7th Armored Div. WWII), and Stewart). At least five became full bird Colonels, many commanding AAA Brigades in WWII. Mattern became a Lt. Col. and was killed on Saipan in 1945 commanding the 751st Gun BN.
