USN Navy WWI Era Scrapbook Submarine Base Coco Solo Ephemera. Inscribed on inside is Property of J.A. Wood. USS Savannah, USS Clio, USS Fulton, USS Quail, US Sub Base, Coco Solo Canal Zone. This scrapbook features newspaper clipping of ships, planes, people, passages, poems and cartoons. In the back of the scrapbook are pages with different items from Submarine Base, Coco Base, Canal Zone during the 1920s. Some items include 1924 Ships Company Dance Invitation and Program, Newspapers to include The Sub-Base Ballast, USS Nevada The Live Wire, O-Ky Recruit, and Hampton Bulletin, Song and Yells for Army Navy Football Game, USS Quail Welcome Program, President Warren Harding Memorial Program, Menus (USS Eagle and USS Quail), Smoker Programs (USS Savannah), 1923 Independence Day Program from Cristobal, Canal Zone, Map of the Canal Zone, plus more. 105 plus pages in the scrapbook. Good condition for its age. The binding is loose from the spine. One page has an area cut from the page. A couple other pages are detached from the back. Still all readable and excellent history for this time period.
