THE ELLINGTON WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1917 AS A TRAINING FIELD FOR FLYING, BOMBING AND GUNNERY. ELLINGTON WAS A LEADER IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF MILITARY AVIATION and WAR ACTIVITIES. THE YMCA PROVIDED REST AND RECREATION FOR THE YOUNG SOLDIERS. OVER 300 PAGES OF COMMENTARY – PHOTOS – CARTOONS – ADVERTISEMENTS. INCLUDES IDENTIFIED SQUADRON PHOTOS. Flexible Covers.
