Description
Spanish American War SAW Souvenir Peace Jubilee & Army 5th Mass Volunteers Infantry Medals. You will receive 2 souvenir medals. The first medal is Peace Jubilee, Philadelphia, PA., Oct. 26-27 1898. On the reverse is Independence Hall, Philada. PA. Attached is a red, white and blue ribbon with a detached from the ribbon souvenir pin. The other medal reads on the ribbon 5th Mass. Vol. Inf., Mustered in U.S. Service at SO. Farmingham, Mass., July 7, 1898, Camp Wetherill (plus unreadable lines on the ribbon). The medal itself reads, 2nd Army Corps, Major Gen, Young Commanding with a raised 4 leaf clover. On the reverse it reads Spanish American War 1898, Peace Treaty Signed Dec. 10, War Declared April 21. Good conditions for their age and the pin is detached from the ribbon.
