1920s to WWII era lot of Brigadier General George Smith, the Chief of Staff for Intelligence (G-2) of the 15th Army Group in Italy during WWII. After the war, he was the Professor of Military Science at the Cornell University ROTC Command. Lot includes his Ike jacket with sterling pin back BG stars, patches, US insignia, and snaps for a removable custom ribbon bar. Shirt with three place ribbon bar, colonel and Infantry rank insignia, some misc. papers, and V-mail type letters. Also his pre-war M1902 dress tails uniform jacket as a 1st Lieutenant. Named to both him and his uncle, Major General William H. Tschappat, Chief of Ordnance from 1934-1938.
