Major General Jeanne Marjorie Holm (June 23, 1921-February 15, 2010) was the first female one-star general of the United States Air Force and the first female two-star general in any service branch of the United States. Holm was a driving force behind the expansion of women’s roles in the Air Force. This group features framed and unframed signed and unsigned photos, International 1992 Hall of Fame Award, 1986 US Coast Guard Certificate of Merit, 1989 US Coast Guard Public Service Award Certificate of Merit, 1987 Proclamation from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and Governor Michael Dukakis, 1990 Air Force Ball honoring Holm, Secretary of Defense Deborah Lee Signed photo and letter, 1994 Signed Letter and Photo of Secretary of the Air Force Sheila Widnall who was the first female Secretary of the Air Force. Note the condition of the signature on the photo. First Lady Bird Johnson Official White House photo, personal papers, speeches, documents and a huge lot of letters from friends with congratulations when she became a General both as a Brigadier General and Major General.
