Description
WWII Navy Named Scrapbook Armed Guard Convoy Escort photo album, post card and paperwork group. The sailor, Arthur Von Heilen Enck, spent time in Russia as shown in some of the items in the scrapbook. He was probably part of escorting lend lease items. The scrapbook 37 pages include some of the following items: 30 plus photos, 25 plus post cards, Going Back To Civilian Life booklet (detached from cover), Letters from the the Navy Department, Letter from the Secretary of the Navy James Forrestal, document certificate from President Truman, a lot of various paperwork is included in this group that is not attached to scrapbook pages. The pages are detached but very much in good readable condition.
