Description
Interesting WWII era box of souvenirs from Major Charles F. Debarger, USAAF while stationed in Iceland. Includes rocks he picked up, deck of Icelandic themed playing cards, hankies, some paper items, handwritten notes on a goggles box. The last photo of him is from the internet; No hard copy included. Research indicates he enlisted in the 101st Cavalry Regiment and upon commissioning as a 2nd Lt. transferred to the 307th Infantry Regiment. He went to the USAAF in 1940 and was stationed in Iceland as of December 1941, leaving service in 1945.
