Description
WWII Wounded in Action group from a tanker of the 717th Tank Battalion, attached to the 79th Infantry Division in Europe. Included is his slot brooch Purple Heart medal, not named or numbered, his original Western Union wound telegram, small original newspaper clipping. Also includes a 1945 dated V-Mail letter from him detailing how he was shot in the head by a sniper while poking his head outside of the tank. Good condition, with folds to the paper.
