Description
Disney Animator Signed FDC First Day Cover Frank Thomas. One of Disneys Original Nine Old Men. A certificate of authenticity does not accompany this piece. The piece measures approximately 3.75 x 6.75 inches. Excellent overall condition for its age. The glare is from the plastic wrapped around the FDC for protection. Franklin Rosborough Thomas (September 5, 1912-September 8, 2004) was an American animator and pianist. Thomas’ animation with Disney included the Seven Dwarfs weeping at the heroine’s bier in “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” (1937), Captain Hook dueling with Peter Pan (1953) and Lady and Tramp falling in love over a plate of spaghetti and meatballs (1955). Thomas also shared the animation of the title characters in “Pinocchio” (1940) and “Bambi” (1942) with Ollie Johnston and Milt Kahl, another of the Nine Old Men.
