Description
Uniform of Vice Admiral Austin K. Doyle, 2x Navy Cross recipient, and Commanding Officer of the USS Hornet From July 1944 – August 1945 when he was promoted to Rear Admiral. He retired in 1958 as Commander of the US Taiwan Defense Command. The uniform has a washed out tag, but the ribbons match his service. Comes with an original 8 x 10 photo of him and a pre war signed card. The uniform needs a dry cleaning, and the right sleeve has a larger hole in it. Lots of online information about him, but we are showing one complete biography.
