Description
Korean War Era Truck-Busters 5th Air Force 18th Fighter Bomber Wing Unit History Book named with a certificate to Winifred Ann Gilliland. The book is signed in the back of the book by the 1952 Flying Tigers of Korea. The title page reads: TRUCK-BUSTERS – 18TH FIGHTER-BOMBER WING…its saga of the Korean conflict in the Far East. Look over the contents picture for the exact information contained within this book. This book is filled with photos and drawings and has a lot of detailed information on the unit and those that served during the Korean War. This book also has a brief section on cartoonist Al Capp who was an honorary member and designed the Li’l Abner inspired insignia that appears on the title page. This book is 148 pages plus a title page in the original hardcover binding measuring about 8.5 x 11.5 inches. This title page indicates this book was issued in September 1951 and printed by Toppan Printing, Ltd in Tokyo, Japan. Also included is some other ephemera. Very good readable condition with the covers showing signs of wear from handling and age.
