Description
WWII 1944 Plane Crash Photo Lot (8) Curtiss P-40N Warhawk Fighter Aircraft. According to the accident report, this crashed actually occurred on May 25, 1944 and not the date depicted on the photos. The Pilot was Lt. Wayne H. Powers who was attached to the 69th Fighter Squadron, 3rd Fighter Group. The crash occurred 1 mile west of Coalgate, Oklahoma. Approximate size of each photo is 5 x 4 inches. Good overall condition for its age.
