Description
Unique history WWII Killed In Action government machine engraved Purple Heart Medal to Capt. Ralph L. Christie, who was Killed In Action in the Netherlands on 3/25/1945. He was an Officer in the 120th Infantry Regiment. He was forward with the tanks when they made a breakthrough in the German lines. Christy and two other men took a Jeep to return to guide his troops when it hit a land mine and killed him and another man. The driver was blown out of the vehicle but survived. Interestingly, this comes with copies of photos of the exploded Jeep that Capt. Christy was traveling in before it was destroyed.
